Product Details

Product Description

CDP Choline also known as cytidine diphosphate-choline & cytidine 5'-diphosphocholine. CDPCholine is a more active form of choline, it is an essential nutrient used by the brain to stimulate cognitive processes by helping to form phosphatidylcholine. also called Citicoline, It is a precursor of acetylcholine and is normally found in abundant supply in normal healthy functioning brains. with age, levels of choline drop and can cause symptoms like memory loss and confusion resulting in a diagnosis of Age-Associated Memory Impairment. CDPCholine as an dietary choline supplement, lessens undesirable age-related changes in the brain.

Function of CDP Choline (Citicoline)

1) Reduce symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease

2) Reduces undesirable age-related changes in the brain.

3) Improves mental performance and memory.

4) Enables the synthesis of phospholipids and acetylcholine

5) Help reduce brain damage after a stroke

6) Restores the optimum amount of phosphatidylcholine and acetylcholine in the body systems.

Application

The main indications of CDP Choline (Citicoline) are acute traumatic brain injury and postoperative brain consciousness after the operation. In addition, CDP Choline can treat central nervous system dysfunction and unconsciousness caused by acute injury, tinnitus, paralysis agitans, nerve deafness and poisoning caused by sleeping pills. In recent years, CDP Choline is widely used in clinical for treatment of ischemic stroke, cerebral arteriosclerosis, multi-infarct dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and viral encephalitis in children.

What does CDP choline do?

Hundreds of studies have shown that CDP Choline involves the following functions:

Boost cognition, increase brain energy, and speed up the formation of the brain membranes.

Promoting production of acetylcholine, increasing blood flow to the brain, offset the harmful effects of stroke.

Improve memory and learning skills, and boost cognitive performance and memory skills in Alzheimer's disease patients.

What is the benefits of CDP-Choline (Citicoline)?

1) Reduced changes in age-related adverse changes in the brain

2) Improve mental performance and memory

3) Ability to synthesize phospholipids and acetylcholine

4) May help reduce brain injury after stroke

5) Relieve the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease

6) To restore the optimal amount of phosphatidylcholine and acetylcholine in the body system

How CDP Choline (Cytidine 5’-diphosphate choline) works?

CDP-choline is a water-soluble compound with a bioavailability above 90%. CDP Choline (oral and intravenously) is hydrolyzed absorbed cytidine and choline and synthesized in the brain via choline triphosphate choline-cytidine transferase.

In particular in humans, plasma cytisine is converted to uridine phosphate in the brain, which changes to cytidine triphosphate at the neuronal level.

Is CDP Choline (Cytidine 5’-diphosphate choline) Safe?

CDP Choline safety is a primary concern of consumers. In many studies, CDP choline is safe. the Irish Food Authority approved CDP Choline as a Novel food additives in 2012.  the European Union approved the CDP choline as a novel foods for medical food and food supplements in 2014.  in addition, it entered into force in 27 alliance countries. the maximum daily recommended dose is 1000 mg.

Side Effects of CDP-Choline CAS 987-78-0

CDP choline has very low toxicity in both humans and animals. clinically, a dose 2000 mg per day has been observed and the result is that mild short-term adverse effects are rare, with most common adverse effects including diarrhea and stomachache. CDP choline can exacerbate adrenocorticotropic hormone or cortisol secretion related diseases. Including type 2 diabetes mellitus and severe depression.

According to preliminary toxicology studies CDP choline in daily doses of up to 500 mg is safe. CDP choline (citicoline) has not been long-term studied, so the long-term effects remain unknown.

CDP Choline VS Choline Bitartrate

On cost, CDP-Choline’s price is much higher than Choline Bitartrate’s. this is a reason for that. Although by weight, Choline Bitartrate contains 40% Choline, which appears to be the same as choline from other source. However studies have shown that Choline Bitartrate is very weak in crossing the blood-brain barrier. That is, Choline Bitartrate to enhance cognitive performance is almost ineffective. Thus, Choline Bitartrate can only serve as simple choline supplement rather than a stimulating mental supplement.

CDP Choline VS Alpha GPC

First, both are similar in terms of overall brain function and mental acuity. However, there are some difference in how these benefits are achieved, for example, CDP choline and Alpha GPC have different metabolic processes. Acetylcholine is released as a byproduct when Alpha GPC decomposes, but CDP choline is a derivative of the same chemical substance.

Alpha GPC may also have more side effects than CDP choline, Alpha GPC improves energy and strength as it helps with muscle recovery after exercise. Alpha GPC can also increase human growth hormone production and act as a weak stimulator.

On the other hand, CDP choline may have other benefits that Alpha GPC, one of the most exciting concerns is the possiblity of the impact of other psychotropic drugs.

CDP Choline and Alpha GPC together

CDP choline and Alpha GPC are used together can be a perfect combination of two different source of choline supplements. Daily use increase their effectiveness. The other two groups had different metabolic patterns, improving the metabolic rate and absorption efficiency.

The combination of Alpha GPC and Citicoline can effectively promote ACh production and increase  dopamine release. the body’s ATP content and phosphate creatine content are effectively improved, which is favored by many students, athletes and bodybuilding enthusiasts, which supports their attention and mental performance in the bodybuilding process.
